Different years have different components. He's just trying to help you get the right people looking at your OB. Considering what I know about OBs and the fact that the pic looks like the wires are coming from the ignition wire, you don't want me trying to help you. Really

Point taken.

this car i just bought from someone who wasn't very into 928's i recon.

he made alot of alterations just to keep it running, not a very good way to approach things i think..

i hope someone can help me sort out where this must lead to, the car runs okay..maybe it aint a very importained component..

Can you tell where it comes from? That might help figuring out where it goes to.

It's the ejection trigger switch wiring.

Are those two wires coming out of the cap?

If so it's definitely a cludge.

Is there an electrical component strapped to the black crossmember in the photo w/o any wires attached to it? I think it might be the wires that increase idle speed when the A/C is turned on. Just a wild *** guess as I have no idea of wire colors.

My first guess is that these wires should be connected to the alarm system switch on the right fender that tells when the hood is open.

The wire colors do look odd, though. Most 928 wires have a base color with an additional stripe color - but the stripe color is usually a longitudinal stripe, not parallel circular stripes.

based on the picture you need new fuel lines,
that would be both of the flexible lines that are about 14 inches long that cross over the side of the cam towers.

I have not seen this style of wire coloring in a 928 it looks aftermarket, more info is needed.

NOTE when asking questions add as much info as possible to get the best guesses.
EG car type, year, model, options issues, and what was fixed last, and pictures
