You might want to get the delron rack bushings from Roger makes a big difference in the feel as it really tightens up the rack mounting.

If removing rack, check that the aluminum U joint itself, at the end of steering column, works freely and has no slop and is not jammed. Power steering is strong enough to overcome a seized joint, even one that cant be manipulated by hand. Just mentioning it because its a good time to check it.

Landseer - I actually did check it and it's just fine. I had a bizarre occurrence with a rack and pinion on another car that I owned, so I now am hyper aware of rack and pinions and everything associated with them.

As for the delrin bushings, I've seen those, but I think that I will pass. Thank you both!!
