Hi,
Anyone know what this 3-pin socket is? In my car nothing is attached to it and i can't see any unattached wires around it.
Car is a 1983 Euro S. It has no running issues (except sometimes I need to apply a tiny bit of gas pedal action for it to fire up when warm).

It does say in the driver handbook, to start a warm engine apply accelerator half way down to aid starting,... mine also does this![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

So, can anyone confirm JET951's answer? Sounds strange with 2 cars having the wiring attached but no gauge.
9two8, really? I have totally missed that! Must read!
in that case it is running perfect.

On page 107-00 of PET 7.1, it shows the alloy base assembly( sensor plate assembly) that the fuel distributor sits on , its decribed in the PET as " Mass Air Flow Meter with Consumption Indicator " Part number = 928 110 905 02 .( The last two words says = Consumption Indicator )
Over the last twenty years or so I have lost count the number of K-Jet 928 & 928S models from 1980 to 1983 inclusive ( customers cars at work ) that have had problems with their instrument clusters & instead of getting then fixed ( be it a printed circuit or such ) the owner simply purchased a 2nd hand 928 or S ( any year type that will fit ) & we just fitted that into their 928/s , so we ended up with a strange mixture of cars that originally came with the K-jet only fuel consumtion indicater( in the Tacho ) , ending up with an instrument cluster that does not & visa versa ( this is what people do )
As a sub note } The K-Jet fuel consumption meter( > 1983 K-jet only) is the only system / component/s that I can remember be the most trouble prone thing fitted to this are 928/s , meaning these things even within a few years from new were always vague at best or downright way out in what there were trying to convey ( as a gauge ) , not that anyone really cared because its of no importance at all

Paalw - Bruce is 110% correct on what he stated.
FYI he is one of the most knowledgeable 928 people I know. Especially on ROW cars.
He has worked on more 928's that you and I have had hot dinners combined 8>)

Does it have the "Do It Yourself" manual transmission, or the superior "Fully Equipped by Porsche" Automatic Transmission?
