I am making it Wednesday night for turkey day. I borrowed a bundt pan. cheers. I will move the cake in my 928 to its eating destination.

Per the main cake website:

"The cakes have a shelf life of 12 months, or indefinitely if refrigerated or frozen."

This is some long lasting cake.

This thread showed up as a Similar Thread listing under a Thanksgiving recipe thread in OT.

I just had to bump it in time for the Holidaze.

I used to pick those up every time I went on a cruise. No more cruises for me, all my $$$ goes to shark wrangling now I should make one for old time's sake...

Just made one of the rum cakes. For extra street cred I baked it while working on a 928. Unfortunately the nonstick spray was a disappointment. On the plus side it was easy to soak the glaze in.

Darn...I missed my perfect opportunity today while trying out the Lexol product samples I got at Frenzy (nice results on the steering wheel and driver seat). I have the screen shot of the recipe on my desktop. Tomorrow morning a neighbor and I are brewing a winter ale. The afternoon is open..could be a good time to bake and put the car up on stands and check the flex plate. Probably not a good idea to get too ambitious while baking.
