Default CE Panel Replacement blew FP fuse

My kid swapped her CE panel, and did everything perfectly...including cleaning contacts, fuses, etc.

Got it all in, put the battery back on ..no start.

The FP fuse blows on this panel.

Same as the old panel, wiring looks the same and perfect.

Old panel has some really melted/burnt areas...so swapped whole thing.

Why would the FP fuse blow on the new panel??

No..same relay is in place. I have another panel in the garage, maybe I'll go play with a meter and make sure every grey wire REALLY goes to the right place.

check the part number of the CE panel and the fuse diagram for the year you have,
make sure the correct fuse slots are infact empty

its possible to back feed power to unused wires with installation of a fuse into the wrong slot, otherwise disconnect the + pump wire test them for shorting to ground

Make sure it is exactly the same part number, make sure all the correct fuses & relays are installed in the correct slots.

CE panels vary significantly by year - it must be exactly the same...

Verify no alterations have been made (usually obvious). On some model years USA and ROW panels are different. On several years the installed equipment on the panel is different based on build options.
