Default Ditching the cats?

Since I have registred the vehicle wioth a classic car insurance, I don`t have to do emissions.

Did someone else here take the cats out of the equation?

I have. Unless you are doing a full exhaust, no real advantage.

What about weight reduction? My cats weighed a metric cr*pton. The x-pipe must be at least 1/2 or 1/3 the weight.

I ran for a long time with X pipe..no cats and stock S4 intermediates and a RMB. Sounds good but honestly the smell gets old.

I have been running some high flow cats from Rog now for a couple of years. smells good runs strong.
Something to consider if not down the road a bit..

What is the life span of the hi-flo cats? I recall that they did not last longer than two or three years. Anybody have any stock cats for sale?

Fitted to some of my DD,s for over 8 years and still pass emissions with flying colors.

I'm not sure why you have bad smell when removing the cats. I don't smell much difference at all.

Military is moving us to Los Angeles in April... So I have to reg the car under the wife's home I record (Washington) so I don't have to do emissions. Even if I had a cat, no way it would pass visual anyway... But still
