It's kinda funny...

This original car was imported by this gentleman...

31 years later he reached out to PCA...in this case , me...

Could not figure a way to deal with the car, off to the bone yard

2 years later, off in a far away junkyard in BFE

and our friend Eric sees it and tells us about it....

So, now it is here and I am the one trying to save it.....

Had I not JUST bought the 79 Minerva Blue in 2011 ...I maybe would have

taken it on then....Destiny, I guess......OR... I get what I deserve.....

This kind of thing happens to me on a fairly regular basis, in various forms.

Still, amazing that Kevin already knows this car!

I did not remember the car.......initially

I still have the guys email from 2011 and his email address

and that it did end up in my driveway......

Kevin..this is flüssig material for sure! I've been talking with Jim on this save and I've gotta say, karma is on your side.

So, when can we shoot 'er and write 'er up? We don't give a **** about it being finished right now...we're all about the patina.

How is the restoration coming along? Is there a different thread on this car?

Yes, never saw this thread before...interesting discovery. There was definitely some droll factor when I spotted that original spare tire on page one.

Made me lol when I saw the original owner recoated his driveway around the car.

Glad it's being saved.

Thought I saw a car in similar condition in those pictures and kind of wondered, must have been it. Has any further work been done?...along with pictures.
