Leeroy is blinking...ALL the time
So before Leeroy's Fuel pump and hose took a dive coming off the 405 onto the... Nevermind - I don't know where I was....
He ended up at Greg's for a while. Obviously its fixed great and running fine.
Before and now after it was at Gregs, the dash warning light and the reset light will flash now all the time. Non-stop. You can't reset it.
The brake pad light is on, but it does not link with the warning lights.
Options I came up with:
1) Ignore it. (not too possible for me)
2) Take the pod out to see if one of the warning lights is out and therefore not blinking in unison - telling me exactlty what is wrong.
3) Assume its the brake pad warning *pads are fine*
4) Brake Pressure?
5) Unplug the warning system and jumper it like Ken did.

Just to confirm, the central warning wasn't an issue when I had it, and the brake pad light was on. So I don't think it's related to the brake pads.
Clean the contacts in the fuse/relay panel? It has been sitting again for a while....
I would have loved to see Leeroy again at Sharktoberfest...

Indeed! I had forgotten that Leeroy was doing exactly that when I took deliver of it at Sharktoberfest 2012. Had a bunch of help from everyone getting that straightened out. I don't remember what exactly we did, but we definitely did not replace both censors. I think they are redundant, so we only did the one easiest to access. Or something.

Even after the sensors are replaced, the blinking will continue until the battery is disconnected to reset the "alarm"
They are not redundant sensors, but a balance between both pistons of the master cylinder. If one piston (or sensor) fails, it activates one of the sensors, and the flashing begins!

I just experienced the same problem with my '82.
I was changing front brake pads (993 calipers) and in pushing the pistons back into the calipers I forced some brake fluid out of the top of the reservoir. Pumped the brakes back up and added fluid, but now I've got the flashing "Brake Pres" warning. Do I need new sensors? They are (relatively) new - or will disconnecting the battery reset the system?
By the way, if you're replacing the sensors, be gentle. If you hear a little "dink" while threading in the sensors and it feels like you've stripped the threads - you've just bought a new master cylinder. Don't ask how I know....
Edit: As Emily Litella used to say on SNL nevermind.
I just went out and disconnected the ground strap at the battery and the warning went away.
By the way, years ago I broke one of the ears off of the wing bolt connecting the ground strap to the frame. I found that the round plastic handled adjuster ***** found on many common office chairs is a perfect replacement. I have them from two different brands of chairs on my cars - perfect fit. You'll want to shorten the threads, however, or it seems like you're turning it forever.
