The plug wires may have 5k as well as the plugs. However the vacuum lines are old, I assume original...no records from the PO.
and recently I bought a kit from 928 Motorsports which I have not installed.
Most of my driving is to and from LA either on 101 or 5. I think I made 6 trips this year.
It sounds like time to do an R/R on the intake.

Yup. You can get almost any AFM car to pass smog. If it is running rich, tighten the barn door spring one or two clicks. It helps if you have a smog station that will let you do a test run and dial it in while on the dyno/sniffer. I have done this/seen it done many times.

Was wondering if you have had any problems with the Smog Test because of the Headers, such as passing the visual inspection.

The smog shop I go in Berkeley has never looked under any of my cars
This will be my 3rd smog with this car, so far so good until now

 

I wold reroute the o2 sensor wiring straight up through the shield. One day it will melt and short out. On 87+ that means the fuel pump fuse blows. Looks great otherwise!

 

why don't you just run your car until it is almost empty then fill it 1/5 the way up with E85?

 

There is a plastic cover on the side of the AFM, when you remove it it exposes the internal "wiper" assembly. How fast the "barn door" opens is determined by the spring tension on the wiper, it is adjusted in "clicks"....you can adjust it on the car put need a REALLY long screwdriver and the AFM must be turned in a certain direction to work (down is not good)

I did this on my L jet estate and Seans Euro racer...works pretty well

Pure E85 is about 33% short of a proper mix.

 

Aha the joys of living in Australia, no smog checks! I ripped off my cats, got it running straight through 2 resonators and a centre muffler then blasts out the back.
