Sorry, i didn't know you were that far away from a plater.

I know an engines guy that is so disorganized when disassembling an engine but knows exactly where everything goes. Same guy who can do 3.3/3.8 Chrysler head jobs in 20 minutes.

I have plated fuel rails I purchased from another Rennlister here but never used them.
Let me know if you decide to get fuel rails.

Hi Bimmermike,

Are your plated fuel rails in good condition? Are they for '85/'86?

Looks like you are using Caswell's zinc plating with Copycad. I use and like that too, but it shadows, which means it will not plate inside the rails, just the outside. Not, at leaset, without a very clever custom electrode set. You could perhaps plate inside with elecrodeless nickle, which is just a reaction with no anode or cathode. Another thought...they make a special paint for covering the inside of metal fuel tanks with rust issues. You might get pour some of that into the rail and swish it around and be able to contain the rust. I'd still just buy good used rails, myself.

Does anyone have a good shop recommendation to plate fuel rails? I live in Missouri and there are no shops that can/will do fuel rails.
