How easy/hard was it to connect to your speaker wiring?

Looks like MJ928 answered that with the link.
I can't comprehensively give you details about the speaker wiring--I had a car audio specialist do it! It took them four hours to do the job, if that tells you anything.

Yeah, odd font that seems like it was more trouble than it was worth.

Care to share the details of what you bought and from where? I need one for one of my Weissach cars.

Had no idea about the speakers. Thanks. I did a search a while back and someone was rambling on about how difficult it is to replace/upgrade the early model speakers behind the leather trim. I was actually convinced I had to refurbish the originals.
The sound is acceptable for 30 + year old speakers, but they can't handle much bass and then comes the crackling. Rears in better condition than the fronts.

Very good looking solution btw.
Thank you. Short of Becker and its trademark orange glow I think it was the way to go for me.
The faceplate is cheap, so in other words it's not a bad match for the cheesy black plastic Porsche used in an otherwise lush interior. That good of a fit was very tough for me to find--or rather to decide on.

For sure, and stealthily mounted--I love that.

I put in the rear speakers and they made a difference. Working on total interior refurbishment on my 1978 dash and console out to be redone.

I purchased the model one radio and the retromod R-463N 150 watt 2 way speakers (4). Radio is about $250. With 4 speakers looking at $400.
Cool, good info. Hope you're enjoying yours. I think if all you want is a solid B system Retrosound is a great option. Although I do still think the price is too high for these units given the presumably super low wholesale price points.

I have not. I need to get in there and day that and sort of wish I would've though to ask the installer that spent a long *** time digging around.

I am down south in irvine.

I am wondering which normal brand speaker those might be, or if they are something custom.
The shop is called Audio Garage. Yeah man I'd love to take pics of the panels etc. The installer did a damn fine job putting everything back together.
The speakers sound considerably clearer than they did, although there's some static greatly exacerbated by bass.
