I applaud MW for setting and getting benchmark prices for 928's ... but that flowery description and careless painting of the rotors puts a dent in the credibility and image .. pity.

That's a very nice 928 GTS, but...

Unless you want to put it in a garage and keep it there most of the time like any investor/collector that would buy this car would do, because of the mileage, there is probably other GTS's - or GT's - out there for lot less $$$ and possibly better maintenance record.
Because even if this car as only about 8k miles, it will need maintenance to be a reliable car.

There all like that!

The 928 is a super car that need to be driven to be fully appreciated.
And, I'm sure that there is few super nice GTS's still out there with of course more miles on the clock but with great service record that would be wonderful cars to buy... For a lot less $$$!
But that's me...

Wish you the best to find the righ car.

Im not convinced MW actually ever sellls any of these High price GTS cars. His web site still has pretty much every car he has listed on ebay over the last 12 months or so. There are eight 928's. Not sure why he would still be advertising them there if they were sold.

I will stick my head out there on this car. Don't even look at it. Jim, Roger and I did the PPI a few years ago and since we did the PPI for Chuck, it's on the registry.

Now Wilhoit has great cars, and I hope he has fixed the issues on this one but it surprises me that he has his hands in this car. It was a fvcking mess.

http://www.928registry.org/1993-928/...28GTS-0112.htm

At that time, I'd have not given more than $10k for the car. Looking at the pictures you can see some of the faults I noted have not been addressed. The instrument cluster is still a shambled mess of de-lamination and unless it has had a repaint, there are several shades of black on the car.

Last time I checked, MW is a used car salesman running a used car lot. There are many cheap fixes that can hide a whole lot of flaws. MW writes like a used car salesman, talks like one, walks like one, and smells like one because he is one. For myself knowing the 928 being such a gorgeous and temperamental diva, I would rather find a decent car and fix it bit by bit than to ASSUME and pay a huge premium to MW.

Outch!
Not an investor/collector car for sure!
With all those flaws at only 8k miles, it must hides something else too.

I nominate having one day each year as "MW day" on the 928 forum. You know, where every post has to be in caps with large text and a bunch exclamation marks after trite expressions. E.g.:

“THAT ENGINE ISN’T JUST CLEAN ROB EDWARDS—THAT’S WALTER WHITE LABORATORY CLEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

or

“ONE LOOK AT THOSE PHONE DIAL RIMS AND I’M SPORTING A 10-FOOT HARPOON IN MY PANTS!!!!!!!!”

I wonder what day his b-day is?

Man that sucks, the only real value adder to this car is the mileage. And rediculously low miles requires rediculous documentation. So what of the rest if his inventory? Anything in stock the real deal? Or are members of the community remaining silent on massive flaws on the others? The GT a former salt water flood car? Was the blue one ever campaigned at the drag strip with a blown bbc and then returned to stock? It looks familiar. Have any of them ever been hit with a 2000 horsepower shot of nitrous?

Regarding the brake rotors: that's what my brand new ones looked like out of the box. I cleaned the grey overspray off with some thinner... Obviously he didn't.
