Question Clutch pedal sucked right up to the firewall!

So I broke the shift linkage in the tunnel just under the shifter.

Bring in, they replace the part.

But took it out last night, and could not feel the pedal. And it was completely sucked to the firewall.

After pulling it back, worked fine until I drove it. When driving the pedal only came back half way.

This morning I noticed oil in the driveway, right below the clutch pedal.

Is this most likely the clutch master cylinder?

How difficult is that to replace?

What brand part should I buy?

Any modifications suggested? (suck as getting one from a GTS)

Thanks in advance!

Guessing at 928 problems can get really expensive. First, find out what is wrong. Possible leakage points are:
- The master cylinder - which usually leaks on your carpet.
- The slave cylinder, which leaks from the obvious place, the boot on the end.
- The hose from the master to the slave, which is the most likely problem.

No need to loosen the brake booster to replace that hose.

Buy the right hose for the job though.

Malcolm, I have a length of blue hose at home, can get ID etc tonight, but I would just get the right stuff from Mark or Roger so measurements are a non-issue.

Route it downhill, all the way:

I saw that Luc thx......just wanted to confirm inner diameter. As you can see in the picture the hose is test fitted onto the master cylinder.

Im talking to Roger later this morning
