Default Help needed- interior

Hi All.

I bought parts of a newer interior from a GT/GTS for my 81 model.
As I started with the rear seats and console, I see that the hinges/ attachment of the rear seat back is different- anyone have a picture of the arrangement of the mounting? I`m trying to figure out what parts I`m missing.

While I`m at it- I also bought a dash from the same car. Anyone did this job before on a older car?

Cheers
Jørgen

Is your 81 a manual transmission car?

Early manual transmission cars have different sheet metal in the rear seat area, because the manual transmission is much smaller. As a result, the rear seats on early manual transmisson cars are wider.

Later, they consolidated the two styles of bodies and rear consoles/seats into the one with the sheet metal for the larger automatic transmission.

Yup, it`s a manual car- Found out about the hinges, some drilling and welding is required but will solve the problem :-)

Thanks, Jørgen.

I saw the same- But some kind of foam under the carpet will fix it I think.
