On the way to drop the car off at the shop today, I remembered a couple things that were bothering me .....
The P.O. had installed a Jager metal shifter cover and full leather shift boot on the auto shifter. Its loose side-to-side and generally not very 'solid' feeling. Its not the shift **** itself, but the shifter shaft. Bad install? Any way to adjust this?
The brake pedal feels loose and is noisy - braking function is fine, but the pedal itself is rattly.
Anyone deal with either of these problems? I don't have the car here to investigate further, but any help is appreciated.

My shifter shaft was loose as well, it would wiggle side to side, it shifted fine but the play in it drove me nuts! I ended up taking a washer and cutting a notch out and using it as a shim on the actuator part. Its been a couple months and still works great with no play.
