I am using the PK tensioner
This job is going to end up sending my to the mental hospital!
Just tried to gently remove the upper bolt from the thermostat cover....guess what....it snapped!
I suspect there will be trouble removing the waterpump bolts as well!

Soak all your water pump bolts in PB Blaster. I did over night and ALL came out, no snapping. Literally just removed them an hour ago. However, it seems that whatever previous leak that cakes everything in power steering fluid, dirt and oil acted as a "corrosion" protector for most of the bolts. There were 3 that had rust and corrosion that puffed out when they came off but broke out easily.
The water pump was a PITA to get off though. I couldn't pry it off so I loosened it with a block of wood against the top edge and hit the wood with a rubber mallet just enough to get separation from the block. After that, use the screw driver to get more separation and then walk it off the guide pins.
Roger,
How much for a crank gear?
