awesome stuff Pablo. I love your enthusiasm. I'd love to be a contributor, in the early model sector. I have some thoughts as to articles as well, and I can edit (I've done that before for legal publications). Sort of like a Hemmings Sports and Exotics devoted to water-cooled classic, p-cars. Do you plan to attend Frenzy? Many of us will be there, and it would be a great place to talk in person about a lot of these ideas.
I wish I could make a cameo at Frenzy but I can't this year...will certainly make an appearance soon though.
Sean, thanks for the support!

Odurandina...that's the long term plan. This baby really screams print. With the digital version though I can inbed video, link websites, lots of opportunities.
John Speake...PM sent.
Mike...the racing beat is yours. Maybe we can call it 'from the (roll)cage,' 'the caged beast,'or something. PM your email and we'll kick 'er around some.

They have a monthly print section -- and one of the sections hilites what is online.
Sometimes thats more in depth articles, videos etc.
But the meat of the magazine is print.
Just my 2c.

Back around 27 years ago, my wife and I celebrated our twenty-fifth wedding anniversary by flying to Germany/Austria for a ski vacation. We planned on marking the event by getting a new car while over there and then shipping it back to the US after the vacation was over. We looked at MB, Audie and, of course, Porsche. We ultimately decided on the 928 after driving the 911 primarily because the 911 was just too twitchy. As an engineer I understood some facts about the design of both the 911 and the 928. It really amazed me how people gushed over the 911 when it had so many inherent design limitations. And yet, even today, the 911 is in a snob class while we who drive the better car are looked down upon. For many years I read the familiar Porsche magazines and then, one day, not too long ago I just quit. The magazine was expensive and featureless when it came to 928 cars. Your concept sounds like the answer.

Does it have the "Do It Yourself" manual transmission, or the superior "Fully Equipped by Porsche" Automatic Transmission?

Hell no Roger! I wouldn't publish it without telling you first...you hold a very special place in this magazine. In fact, I was laying an outline on it tonight and have a section called 'Bad-*** of the Month' and guess who that bad-*** in the first issue is?
That's right, you. You're the first poster boy of bad-asses to grace the magazine...expect an interview soon!

Okay. Time for me to step-out from behind the curtain.
I have spent 20 years of my career in the depths of the automotive enthusiast magazine industy. My path found me spending 8 years at Road & Track; recruited by the legendary David E. Davis, Jr. to come aboard at his fledgling Automobile magazine where I rose to the Associate Publisher's role. Following a brief hiatus in another category, I returned to Haymarket Publishing as President USA and participated in the purchase of Racer and Sports Car, and wound it all up again with David E. as the launch Publisher of Winding Road, the first digital enthusisast magazine back in 2005 (pre-iPad). I have a few opinions on the enthusiast publishing arena, as you can imagine.
These days, I'm aboard at Smithfield Foods running our NASCAR program with Richard Petty Motorsports as primary sponsor of the legendary #43 car with Aric Almirola driving for us.
I have extensive experience in both the print space, as well as the digital landscape having forged ahead as the sharp end of the sword in unchartered waters 8 years ago.
I'd be happy to lend my knowledge base to you, Pablo, but this is an undertaking that is not for the faint of heart. Perhaps it is best if this conversation was conducted via a conference call; I'd be happy to arrange it. PM me and we can set it up with the key stakeholders who have raised their hands.
my best,
Bob Weber

Ok everyone...time to button this baby up:
I've hashed out a rough outline on how the magazine might be structured. The bold points with an asterisk are regular columns and the rest are stories that we write about. I encourage everyone's feedback. If I missed something you feel important, let's hear it same for a column/topic that's iffy or no good.
Here's where everyone gets a say on how they'd like their magazine to be structured. Once we get some ideas, we vote on 'em. Remember, this is your magazine, but be reasonable...we can only fit in so much otherwise we're in Karl Ludvigsen territory...it has to be a multi-volume book. Here we go...
- content page
- editor's page
*- bad-*** of the month our first Bad-*** is Roger Tyson
- one early 928 (77-84) story
- one late 928 story (85-95) tony77's car
*- tool: in this section we can write about tools that are critical to our car's upkeep. ie: new tools, home-made tools, factory tools contributors needed
- one 924 story
- one 944 story
*- Parts: column about new parts, custom parts, re-issued parts, etc. contributor needed
- one 944 turbo story
- one 968 story rwodabek's car
*- racing: mike (courtshark) has agreed to handle this baby covering all models
*- project: each issue will bring someone's project to light, what the idea is ie: custom, factory resto, what was the inspiration, how far ahead are they, etc. contributor needed (Matt (the Fixer) was heading that baby but other commitments have risen for him at the moment)
*-offshore happenings: a representative from a few countries are needed to have a page each on what's cooking in their homeland ie: club/race scene, used car prices, restos, modifications, etc.
Germany
England
Netherlands
France
Italy
Australia
contributors needed
*- owner's report: recent purchase, how you chose, what made you decide, experiences so far. just a few vignettes here to get a feel of the market/new-ish ownership experience contributors needed
bonus12 - 951 report
*- market: for sale/trade/want
*- last page: a freebie, anyone with a great ending image/thought/video can contribute here.
*- joker's wild: yep, an air-cooled (356, 911, 914) story. I know we're waterpumpers but let's not be the ugly Porsche owner...it'll be irreverently fun anyway contributors needed
thoughts!!!

Thank you Bob...PM sent.
Jarrod and Maine, hell, this magazine will be around for a while so there'll be bad-asses-a-plenty. We'll generate a list of candidates and vote...simple as that.
There's always room at the top.
Tony, thank you for your kind words...lookin' forward to putting your work of art in the magazine.
