Default cigar lighter connections

Hopefully this is a very simple question. I am connecting a previously non-functioning lighter outlet, and so when I removed the unit I found three unconnected wires - brown (ground), blue/black and black/yellow. I only see two places they could connect since the ashtray was removed for iPhone cable storage. There is the center point connector in the outlet and a clip on the metal frame. Any suggestions?

Jason,
There should be a bulb harness there too.
Black/Blue goes to bulb.
Brown (note 2) for cigarette lighter and bulb.
Black/Yellow is power in to cigarette lighter.

Thanks! I figured that was the situation, however there is no bulb harness, asi suspect it was with the long gone ashtray. Once I swapped out the blue/black for the black/yellow on the lighter and connected the ground, all good!

Even better, the radio no longer cuts out at high RPMs!

Thanks!

Be sure you have insulated that loose spaded end of the Black/Blue until you connect it again. If it is loose under the center console it will be 'live' when you turn the headlight switch on to position 1 or 2, and can short something if it makes a contact in that confined space. There is a lot of 'stuff' under there that won't take kindly to having alternator current bumping in to it.
