Been through seven of these cars now.

Its been hard to find a single culprit when working to make one reliable.

Little problems throughout seem to interweave in different ways on every run. Additive effects perhaps.

Default 928 S4 rough idle and engine cut out

Experienced this problem for the first time today. Traced the problem down to a faulty /loose earth connection between the negative battery terminal and the vehicle bodywork. A cheap fix, thank goodness!!Also fitted a rubber pad between the battery and the compartment lid .Vehicle seems to be idling and driving nicely again after this.
