Pointers for checking TB tension
...expect the working quarters to be really confined, although you did your TB refresh some time ago, it will be smaller than you remember
...take plenty of time, five hours should be expected (I am the worlds slowest mechanic)
...buy the PKrank for S4 and later and win two hours fidgeting around to turn the crank
...don't remove the upper radiator hose thinking it will be empty, coolant will fill the valley you made squeaky clean during your intake refresh (and don't say "f-it, I'm taking a chance" before you do it)
...bring plenty of zip-ties to tie many hoses and cables out of the way
...bring a very short screwdriver for the distributor
...bring a stubby 17 mm wrench or cut one off for the tensioner
...practice your best swearing words (yes you thought it would be easy, you did the TB refresh right?)
...ultimately tap yourself on the shoulder for a job well done.
