Default Brake Booster Vacuum Fitting

Does anyone know the name of the vacuum connection going into the Brake Booster that the black/blue valve connects to or where to purchase? Mine is missing (appears to be broken and plugged) the stem which the black/blue vacuum line attaches to.

Believe after I get that connected, I can continue to work down the system and figure out why HVAC Controls and Cruise Control are inop...

Thanks.

Actually, while you're at it, take the black/blue check valve and blow (suck?) through it in both directions. Should 'check' you in one direction and not the other. It would suck to find it not 'checking' once you hook everything else up.

Might also want to splurge on a new rubber seal ( 911 355 921 00) that fits in the booster, the original is now 26.5 years old. And start figuring out how you're going to extract the old vacuum connector out of the booster, those things can be a king kong PITA to remove.

the original is brittle

The same thing snapped on my booster connection- I sealed the broken connection with a squirt of blue silicon RTV and connected the vac line to a spare connection temporarily to the vac system on the multi way connector at the back of the inlet manifold.

Not saying it is perfect but if the system is well sealed the load from the vac reservoir should not be much at all. It seems to be working fine- have not seen any deleterious effects but if anyone can think of a reason why it is not a practical solution please holler. Total cost of intallation- $0.001 for a blob of RTV.

Regards

Fred
