Default Interior lights: slow dim and door alarm

So, getting down to some niggling things:

I read on THeo's page that ROW 84 & up S3 cars had slow dimming interior lights. It does not indicate that was the case for U.S. Is there a relay that can be adapted to the US in a plug n play fashion?

Also, among the dated things in the 928, is the alarm for keys/door ajar.
I have to think there is a more contemporary sounding relay/alarm to retrofit?

Small 'taters I know, but its a differnt type of 'deep thoughts'

Also, while I'm here, WTB good 86.5 airbox lid...

Its an off delay not dimming. Same as later USA cars.
