Will Engine harness from 87-88 fit an 89?
Jadz has an 87-88 for sale that I am interested in. However, i am not sure if it will fit my 89. Please advise.
Thanks in advance.

It'll work just fine, but you'll need a two-connector oil pressure sender.

What about the IMS? There is wiring to the two heat sensors going through the firewall. You'd have to delete the IMS to use an earlier wiring harness.
By the way, I also have a couple of engine harnesses I would be willing to part with. I believe they are both 88.

Fred,
Instead of installing a two pronged oil pressure sender, you can run a third wire parallel with the '87/88, and install the correct prong in the 14 pin connector. Earl G. and I did that when I had a short near the 14 pin and fried part of an '89 harness. By the way, if you want to repair about 12" of an '89, I still have the one I removed.
Send me a PM if you want to discuss that.
