Friends,
I want to tackle this job along with measuring the trans pressure and making sure it is functioning as well as it can.
So I know I need to get it up on stands. Buy a pressure tester. I've gotten the replacement gasket, filter and spring that Roger sold me. I have no idea where the spring goes.
The idea is to get all of the fluid out right? I've read that others have gotten additional fluid out of the torque converter - how.
I know I'll be draining and dropping the pan. Should I be doing more?
Thanks for guidance on this.
Josh

The transmission and torque convertor have separate drain plugs.
The transmission plug is on the bottom of the pan, the convertor plug is located by spinning the engine until the plug is visible and accessible through the grate.
