Default Brake Booster Compatibility

Seems the booster in the more recently back on the road '80 928S has boosted his last pedals, because it's no longer boosting
I searched through the forums, did some research into aftermarket model numbers and could not really find a definite answer to this:

I have a couple boosters from '86.5 cars...should they fit the '80 S without major issues? Some sites list one model number for 80-95 replacements, others list different numbers for '80 and '86. Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks already in advance,

Marcus,
Brake booster was the same from 80 to 95 and 10" in diameter - earlier cars had the 9" booster.
Booster from the 86 will be fine.

WOOT! Thanks, Roger!!!

Damn, now you got yourself out of a sale of a new booster, because that was the next step if it wouldn't have fit. Then again, the money ends up in your hands sooner or later anyways, just for different parts

Thanks for the last shipment btw....it's always nice when you get working on a project and everything you need to finish it was thought of and nicely packed!!!
