I didn't measure it but it feels like I reduced the pedal travel about an inch which made a huge difference for me as it allows more positive clutch action and therefore more positive shifts. Just ask anyone who's driven in the car with me
Comments and complaints were not directed at anyone in particular! Sorry if it seemed that way. As Jim C suggested, though, you're more likely in an OB to see a benefit from this, as the S4+ has a shorter pedal travel to begin with. And as Jim C also said, if the clutch master moves, this job can easily go from 10 - 20 minutes out to 2+ hours. Like mine. I also had the added fun of not having the sound deadening material or carpet there like shown in most of the pictures, and I failed to visualize/realize that the barrels go behind the plate. Lesson learned as the Kraken continues to throw curveballs at me. There really is almost nothing stock about this car anymore.

S4-up may have a shorter stroke because the single disk does not require as much travel to disengage.

Effectively, the S4 up pedal arm has to travel about 5mm or so less than a dual disk for full disengagement.

With a clutch stop, you are hitting an adjustable rubber buffer, plus a bracket with a bit of give (if you really bash it), part way up the clutch arm, not the back end of the clutch master with the full leverage of the arm.

Now, I have to do it again?!

I had no problems installing mine with the supplied materials. However I too had to make a new stop. Found a long stainless bolt at Menards, and then slipped a rubber cap over the head to make the stop. The original bumper included was about an inch too short for my application.

Been very happy with mine after getting it dialed in.

I still have about half of the supplied bumper arm left to draw out for dialing in. I'll mess with it a little more here soon (once my back recovers! Ridiculously achy this morning from yesterday's efforts) to maximize the benefit of the stopper. The throw is definitely a little shorter than before, which is nice and should be great for tracking the car.
