FS: 1986.5 S3 / 5 Speed
I posted this in the For Sale thread but wanted to make sure the 928 guys saw this post... Don't beat me up too badly!
1986.5 S3 with full leather interior and 5 Speed transmission. Only 83K miles on the clock... All gauges, Alarm, A/C, Cruise, Power Seats, Sunroof, etc, work as they should. Grand Prix White (paint is a 3-5 footer - not perfect, some repaint, a couple chips, but shows very well). All black trim & rubber spoilers look great! Interior is two tone all leather black & champagne with champagne carpet in outstanding ORIGINAL condition. Dash leather is pulling up just a bit around two defrost vents, but dash & pod look very good (no cracks). Driver seat bolster replaced with leather & color matched... The rest of the interior is near perfect!!! Its the nicest original leather interior I've seen. Still has the 80's car phone & in-grill Radar Detector with under dash alarm installed. Hankook Ventus V12s all around (rears are brand new) 235/40/18 front and 275/35/18 rear mounted on special order (from Germany) RH 3 part wheels @ $1200 ea!! $4800 in wheels alone.
All maintenance is up to date - Gates racing timing belt, Porkensioner, Laso plastic impeller WP, everything that PORKEN makes for an S3 including the 4.0 chipset & torque tubes. New fuel hoses & vacuum lines, complete intake refresh. Serviced & adjusted entire clutch system, Torque Tube refresh w/ Constantine's Super Bearings & new motor mounts. Serviced half shafts with new seals & CV boots, front bearings, new front brake rotors (Zimmerman cross-drilled with ceramic pads) & Red painted S4 calipers. Lizard Short Shifter, new hood liner with Shark stencil, new cargo cover (black - after market). Front windows tinted (legal shade) with rear windows blacked out (protects leather interior from sun/heat) and it looks AWESOME on a GPW car!!! Mobil One 15W50 every 5K miles and Royal Purple in the tranny/diff... the list goes on. This car dyno'd at 279 HP & 299 TQ at the wheels (see pics)! You'll get an additional 15 HP/TQ with an X Pipe install... (didn't get to that upgrade yet). I have receipts & records with dates / mileage for EVERYTHING (of course). The car had 41K miles when I purchased and really didnt NEED anything, but I wanted to make sure the car is VERY reliable and it is... Most of the miles are highway going to FRENZY in Wash D.C, Sharks to Nowhere, IN (S2N), Porsches to Oxford, OH (P2O) & road trips to MS, NJ, TN, KY, MI, IN... This is what the car was built for and I drive it!! She is not a garage queen, but looks like one
Had a minor (front end over curb accident with previous owner) and received a light 10 mph bump at a traffic light by a woman texting a year ago (hence the paint work). All cosmetic damage / nothing structural but had all parts replaced with NEW from Porsche Germany including rear valance, bumper/fender seal, bumperettes & both shocks, alum crossmember support and new paint / stencils at True Performance (high end Euro body shop). Cost the texting driver $5300... still wanted to strangle her!!
I'm a PCA, RennList & 928 Buckeye Landsharks member and I've installed over $6K in parts (not including labor)... Just trying to put ROGER's kids through college!!! Almost $19K invested total as I WANTED to keep her, but finances are dictating otherwise. This is a "turn key & drive" 928 S3... not a fixer-upper. Frankly, $15K is a steal for an 86.5 with 5 Speed in this condition! Call (614) 886-Three, Five, One, One or reply to this posting for more pics / info. Ask for Joel

Your car looks great, interior is terrific with the seats and carpets
I hope you get every bit of your asking price.
Many looking for a cheap Porsche wont realize how much they can save by buying a nice car thats already sorted,
that they can drive today instead of having a 928 shadow on jack stands in their garage for 6 months or more.
I would remove that KnN sticker from the airbox

Thanks guys... There are soooo many things I've left off of the list... like the new Jerry Feather cowl cover & engine compartment weather strip, the plastic "Y" piece for the fuel system carbon filter and the rear hatch latch liner, etc... lots of small stuff
Yep... Some people buy a "decent" 928 that needs quite a bit of mechanical & cosmetic work for $5K - $6K. They'll easily spend another $6K in parts, and $6K or more in labor if they don't DIY, just on the mechanics. It's O.K. if you like to wrench & learn, but your not DRIVING it for a while... And, it will STILL need a new interior or portions replaced, carpet, paint, etc... Ask anyone who's gotten a new interior, or just the front seats, how much that stuff costs... even in vinyl... WOW!!!
The K&N filter is LONG gone... guess I should remove the sticker The ski boat in my signature is also for sale, but I'm hesitant to advertise it on here - not Porsche or 928 related - don't want to get FLAMED... Gonna feel like crap when one or both are gone

BOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I had a feeling this ad was coming soon. Very sorry to see this beautiful, well sorted 928 for sale. But, I hope you get every penny that you are asking for it Joel, because it's worth it!
I hope we still see you around though.

OMG that is perfect!!!!! An 86.5 with all the right upgrades and an awesome 2 tone interior color combination. Put an x pipe on that baby and drive it everywhere (when the sun is out of course).
Somebody needs to pick this up quick.
