Wow Mike. That is an amazing piece of machinery. Major kudos.

As for the price, gentlemen? I don't think that's anyone's business but the people involved in the transaction.

DAMN...did I pick a great week to be on vacation or what.......................................not that I could afford it, but man is that engine ART, plain and simple.....

MIKE...sell the monster motor, keep the race car & drop in a stock-ish 16V....start racing NASA GTS3-4 like I do.....my lightly modified 4.5L makes 265whp-289torque.....high end of GTS3 and low end of GTS4.... A GTS2 928 with a BONE STOCK early 4.5L would dominate.....since most of the cars in that class are E30's or 968's

Quick sale via rennlist means we should see it again I hope

Would be very cool if it turned up in one of the three racers in the UK, where it would get to put Astons to shame

Can you run aftermarket ecu? What if it was a 5L?

Mike sold the whole car to one party I know. I missed the deal because I only wanted the engine and are overseas making shipping more complicated.

BS, you just made that up. It's none of your business and you have no interest in this at all.

Actually it was based on being first to commit. I was really excited about the possibility of you getting the engine and I was prepared to handle crating for shipment.
I've always admired you and your car and am flattered you would want the engine. I wish I had 2 of them!

I thought it would be taken by someone I regard highly and sure enough it was. He gets my loyalty and what support and backing I can provide.

It would be interesting to know what it sold for, but if the buyer doesn't want it disclosed, that is their business.

I am much more interested in knowing who bought it. Really because I would like to follow the future of this beautiful engine. Of course, the buyer owes me nothing. If they don't want this to be public, that is their choice as well.

If I had bought this engine, everybody in the entire Porsche speaking world would already know about it.

Yea, I am more interested in who got the engine and what they plan to do with it.

That and wondering how are they going to ship it.

That and what is the weight of the engine vs a normal engine
