Surflex Colorant - 16oz. - 62.00
Soffener Conditioner - 16oz. - 26.00
Flex Fill - 8oz. 32.00
Most purchase 4oz. of Flex Fill. I purchased 8oz. for I am doing the seats, I used it for a repair of two tears on the rear quarters, and I am going to use it for some small 'lightening bolts' on the top of the pod. I should even have some left over. And, 16oz. of the colorant is more than enough for all four seats. You would apply this in thin coats with a quality brush.

As a little aside, I wanted to reinforce the rear seat back units at those two junctions. If you can, get '0' Ethilon suture material. This is the big size for chest tubes, thoracotomy closures. It is nylon. The attached large curved needle can be manipulated with your needle nose. Perfect for the task.

Sorry Denny, don't have the ability to take pics right now.
You know when you pull the rear seat out and they're connected at two points by metal securing 'ties' in the center of the bolster. These unions have degraded somewhat, and the reinforcing with the thick nylon suture material did them right. Having the larger suture needle makes it easy.

I'm afraid it's a bit late for mine.

Odd that the passenger seat has torn there, the rest of the seat looks pretty good.

MainePorsche,
Great job, looks beautiful. I have restored about 4-5 sets of Porsche 928 seats over the past 10 years, and have used ColorPlus products for all but the first ones - where I used Leatherique. They all came out beautifully. I changed color on two of these - dark brown to silver grey on one, and champagne to a rare color of Cork with the other (the ones on my current avatar). I always put a lot of Soffener on before I put the dye coats on, and also wipe the leather carefully with lacquer thinner to remove any remaining Soffener before applying the the dye.

It literally "shattered" just like the colorplus.com site describes.
Too bad I didn't know about dry, brittle leather before that happened.
I'll likely try to save it with a combination of what MainePorsche suggested and what I read on the colorplus site.

I did it with my elbow while working on the CE panel.

Just be sure to 'level' it before putting on your top sheet of leather. On the bottom piece of leather (that will be your base) I would cut another piece of leather the same configuration as the divot and adhese it to the bottom of the base piece of leather. Then your top 'cosmetic' piece will be on a level playing field.

An additional note to the protocol.
I communicated with Joanne Price from ColorPlus today, and she instructs to not condition the leather on the seats until 6 weeks after the Surflex colorant is applied.

Thanks Bob,
It has been a busy summer in many ways.
The seat job is not heavily labor intensive, it just takes most time in the waiting for the prep layers to completely dry.
Yes, it really does give the car a new look on the inside.
