What part is this? And.....

I found this threaded plastic thumb **** (first pic) under my front passenger carpeting. Is it even a 928 part? If so, I assume that it goes somewhere in the passenger footwell area, but I can't quite find where.
Also...
Does anyone have a passenger side gutter end cap (in search of the proper name). Mine broke.

The vertical box that a passenger's right foot would rub against? That's always had a black plastic **** with brass machined thread securing it. Identical to the amp cover's ****.

the later models had the quick turn plastic thumbscrew holding the computer cover ,
from your post a picture should be added to show the brass threaded screw you describe,
as these were only used to secure the amp covers

My guess is that at some point the P dealer misplaced the OEM **** and pulled an amp cover **** from the shelf. I suppose some kind of anchor was jammed in to make it hold. I'll have to check when I get a chance

That other part that broke is simply called Roof Edge Strip End Piece and you can buy a new, primed one from Porsche for about $11. They're made out of pot metal so they break pretty easily, wouldn't recommend getting a used one since it'll be more likely to break as it's already been stressed. The one you show broken looks like the driver's side though, which is part number 92855912103. Passenger side is 92855912203.

Sure enough, a little black plastic wall anchor had been pressed into the hole in order for the machine threads on the amp **** to take. It actually worked quite well as I'd never noticed the **** being a loose fit.
Pulled the plastic anchor out and the correct **** screwed right in.
Thanks for the feedback.
Trent, the broken foot on the end cap was totally on me. It's actually a really stout part. I just failed to notice that it was a cast piece and wouldn't take to bending.
it is the d/s end cap. I've since found the reference for the new part (121) and it checks with your number. Hopefully these are still available. I read that the little tangs that fit into the rail need to be ground down for a good fit.
