I have learned a lot from the 928 community in the ten plus years I have been around.
If Greg Brown says it fits it fits - period.
If Mike Simmard says it fits it fits - period
If Carl says it fits - is that your final answer?

Greg & Mike are serious engineers not just members of the SAE.

I've said this before... And will say it again. I'm inclined to give Carl a bit of a break sometimes because he pushes these parts to the max. 216mph @ Bonneville. Killing it up Pikes Peak. That means a lot to me as someone who's making these mods for purposes of tracking the car.

This starter situation is a bit disappointing, but we've got it working and the sway bar hangs lower than the starter. So far so good with the aluminum radiator and expansion tank. That said, this starter, from Carl, should come with installation instructions, and some clarity about whether the lightweight starter mount is required (and what's involved with installing it). Things like the need to bend the clutch lines, grinding material off the oil pan, and perhaps reduce the head size of the top bolt. This has been an adventure!

Courtshark - it is your money and your car and you get to spend your money however you wish. I just watch and learn and log away experiences. Being 61 years old brings a lot of observations to the table. Nothing more nothing less. The older you get the wiser you get - I can't believe I just said that as after all I am only 18 - right!!
