Carmel Valley 928 For Sale
Last Friday at the "Legends of the Autobahn" I met a woman late in the day that is wants to sell her late husbands 928.
85 5sp. 32v Original car and unmolested, blue on blue. She wanted $3000 for it but a mechanic told her 6k. I think she is flexible if she has not solid it. I almost bought it but the 3 beers wore off. It's dirty and could use a respray or just serious detailing.
The VIN is WPOJB0927FS860607. She is in her 80's and they have owned it since 1988. She lives in Carmel Valley CA. Out the 75 various 911's at the show there were 2 928's stuffed way back in the parking area. Just goes to show our status in the Porsche world. Even a few 944's got into the show. PM me and I will forward her phone number

I fully agree. I almost did it as well and thought about it all weekend. A 5speed 32 valve, how can you go wrong? It has all the potential in the world. There a lot of dogs on the market and this one just belongs to a family that loved it. My biggest issue
was... BLUE... and time.

Thanks, Van, for the phone number. I talked to the lady about the car. It has 157k miles. the paint is original and the interior is tired. She said that she has been offered $3000 three times, but "the car is still in (her) driveway." She said she is looking for $6000 for it which she says is the low book on it. With that mileage and the sort of rough condition it is probably not a great deal for that much money. I sent her an email to see if she can send me some pictures.

She mentioned that the motor was rebuilt about 30,000 miles ago by MY Porsche
My guess is that the 157,000 is honest, compared to a few cars out there.

That chart does not hold water with some folks on this board. But I digress...
