87 computers - auto and manual same?
Are the computers interchangeable for auto and manual cars on 87?

Yes. All the S4 LH brains are pretty much interchangeable, AFAIK.
Manual wire harnesses have the in-gear input to the LH wired to ground.
Other than that, there is no other coding for the LH for auto/manual.
(EZ is coded for auto/manual via the coding plug.)
