I do need to cruise up there again sometime and check things out! Maybe I can bring a new AC pressure switch, I could use some help installing it so I don't lose all my hard fought freon.

Is your car still R12?

Converted to R134. Everything holds, I rebuilt the whole damn thing. I've got too much oil in it right now though, and the low pressure switch is dead.

I hate these cans.

It has reverse, first and second (and the LSD works, see photo above!) I'll have to try it out on our street on Saturday when there is little to no traffic...

The clutch pedal feels heavy...I'm thinking the pressure plate is not stock.

I do have a gushing power steering leak from the pressure line (surprise).

200K+ out of the original pressure line seems pretty good...

Page 30-1 in the workshop manual has info on adjusting the helper spring for the clutch. All three of the manual S4's I've owned needed adjustment back to spec -

I assume that the constant use of the pedal causes the spring to shift the nut in tiny amounts, which over 25 years adds up.

While you're lying head first in the foot well, check the clutch master pushrod preload too (same page in the manual).

I will check, thanks.

It is also possible that I am just used to the clutches in my 2-liter Saabs.

Thanks! Now I've got to get the body back together...and eventually painted...

I have to say, it sounds absolutely great with the RMB.
