These type of conversions are found predominantly in countries where sports car taxes are exuberently high.. im talking REALLY HIGH. So to get around the tax a bed conversion is done and its no longer considered a sports car. Hence much lower tax. I had wondered why I had seen so many and asked. Now... why one would be in the USA? DUNNO...

Painful to those who do good, hard work on these cars.

...exactly what I was thinking. All it needs is a pair of plastic seats in the bed.

Sadly, it looks like someone spent lots of time doing the body+chassis meld.

Most amusing is the $12.5k price. Such a small price to pay for such a fine motorcar...

Yikes!

#1 - Why am I not surprised this is in Texas?

#2 - WTF is an "Al Camino." It is an El Camino.

#3 - It looks like crap. Totally unbalanced towards the rear. This one is much, much better:

It's the one Mark from 928 International had for sale back in May.

Seen the 928 Mark had for sale in the 951 area a few years ago...

Looks like the previous owner used it to haul some heavy loads.
