Question Vacuum Four way Splitter? (1987 S4)

I've searched and have come up with two issues.

1. Most of the vacuum diagrams, here and 928Rus don't include the 4 way splitter(or I'm missing it)

2. The search terms are too short for this site.

My 4 way splitter is open on two sides and has a screw stuck in the third

There is one obvious location to plug one side into but no obvious options for the other 2

What should these lead to? Any pictures or diagrams would be great!

The one by the brake booster or the one in the valley?

Cole..........it is perhaps wise to contact Mr Merlin on this site and seek his council.

He is located in the Denver area and is considered very knowledgeable in matters related to 928 Porsche. An hour of his time looking over your car is probably a fantastic education for the price.

1- to transmission (auto) - blocked off at source if manual
2- to proximal fpr
3- to proximal fuel dampener
4- to dampener on front of engine (long line)

Yeah, I know Stan (mrmerlin). Just thought I would see if I cold find a quick answer.

There seem to be no vacuum line anywhere near this 4 way splitter near the brake booster.

Car runs great though.

This 4 way splitter runs off a port on the ventral surface of the intake. Has nothing to do with master cylinder vacuum arrangement.

Cole on your car, your 4 way splitter at the brake booster should have.

1 goes to the outlet of the small blue one way valve this is the vacuum source.
NOTE other end is plugged into the small hose coming off the plastic fitting thats going into the Booster.

2 goes to the black line this feeds the HVAC system ,
NOTE make sure that the HVAC system isnt leaking as this can drain the reservoir

3 Flappy supply line to flappy solenoid on the DS cam cover

4 the vacuum supply reservoir, this feeds HVAC

NOTE there is also another splitter, this runs off of the intake throttle housing it is close to the MAF,
if this one only has one line going out then you have other issues.

NOTE these other diagrams are somewhat useful but make sure your looking at an S4,
as the older cars dont have the provision for the Flappy solenoid and should not be relied upon for correct routing.

From the words used,
your talking about the 4 way rubber fitting next to the brake booster.

Is this correct?

Stan,
Sound like he's describing the 'T' off the manifold, but then again not clear by his description. Clarity is needed.
The screw in the 'T' may be for his manual transmission. Does he have a manual ??

Here you go, this is basically how I found it!

(camera phone makes the whole thing look worse than it does in person)

Your check valve should go on the proximal port right off the master cylinder.
Your black hvac line should go where it says 'open'. This is the line off the proximal port of the master cylinder.
You cruise control line should go where the screw is.

Your splitter doesn't look to healthy.

No, it doesn't. I figured I would buy a new one once I figured out what was missing and where it all should go.

So which one is the cruise? Right now that check valve is plugged into a port that splits and goes into the fender.

In your picture the check valve is probably attached to the cruise control line. The location is right.
What should be, is after the cruise line comes off the 4 way splitter where the screw is, it splits again.
