I wonder if it would be less since European cars likely are not as popular here. I know just the nature of a lot of ******** not liking Porsches in the states might make a difference. I know if I was driving a Vette or Mustang I would have fewer hassles.

I would think that a higher % of the more desirable models are on the road . And the highest attrition is among the early cars . There must be thousands of cars just sitting , too nice to junk , and too expensive to fix .

I'm not sure how many are left in the US, but I just took a tally of total 928s and total 924s (including the 924S and 924 Turbo) licensed in the UK. For reference, there were 61,506 928s and 136,980 924s made.

Total 928s licensed in UK: 526
Total 924s licensed in UK: 903

This means .7% of all 924s are still on the road in the UK, while .9% for 928s. Not a very relevant number, unless the same percentage of total production for both models went to the UK market.

There are 2 other 928s that I know are driven in my area, but I haven't seen them in months. There is also a guy that lives nearby that I believe has 10 928s I am not sure the exact number because he keeps more at other people's houses. All road worthy and well taken cared of mechanically but sitting rotting the tires.

25K +/-10K

That's my final answer... guess

Thumbs up Shark Spotting

I have an '83 Euro-5sp (see pix). I also saw a burgundy and a black one on the road near me. I was at a car show and ran across a '82 Euro there. So that's 4 more still on the road.

Not that bad, just needs some nice racing strips down the center of the car, similar to a GT350 but in white. Classic styling...

So, the consensus is around 15-20K?

I see two every time I walk out the door.

We've got at least a dozen in a 50 mile radius, although I have to admit I rarely see another one on the road.

Wazzup, James? You should come to 3rd Coast! Fun, and you would fit right in!

Hey Erik:

Still in Tejas I see. 3rd Coast sounds like fun, but that's a loooooooong haul for a weekend.
