There seems to be a few epoxy adhesives out there. You would probably know better than me. Are they all the same, or are there degrees of strength and adhesion, e.g. handyman, industrial and mil spec?

Paul,
JBweld is different to araldite - not a fair comparison. I had the same problem with an intake I got so I could coat one while still running the vehicle - 1 mounting bolt position was broken off...
Difficult to know what you could use to rplace missing bits with.

No bits missing on replacement. Just broken. I'm going give the MEK a go, if I can find some. If that doesn't work, I'll go with a combination of wire and Epoxy, such as JB Weld, or better.

Agree that glass-reinforced ABS Might Be the base 928 fanshroud material. Tried laminating thin ABS sheet with toluene-thinned ABS cement on roughened shroud material, was only marginally successful, had to plastic rivet the sandwich for adequate support. MEK and even methyl chloride did not soften base material. In many US and JP cars, you can reserve some drilling and filing swarf from ABS parts in a capped jar with acetone and make adherent goop for filling patching base material. Acetone didn't touch the 928 fanshroud after 4 weeks in a capped jar. That stuff is tougher than boiled owl-$h#t.

This is from a recent thread. Good luck.

Something that may fix the broken parts (if you have them) is a product called 'Q-Bond'. I just used this on backwash valve for our pool. This stuff is pretty darn cool. You put a powder on one piece and crazy glue on other. Put pieces together and done. You must be precise because if the two pieces just touch they are set and cannot be moved. Anyway it may be worth a try before buying new. Cost was about $20 from paint store.
