Needed: used timing cam gears for an 87
928 intl doesn't have any good used timing gears. Anyone have a pair they're willing to part with? Trying to save some cash and mine are pretty shiny.

$295 each and will outlast any used gear 10 fold

I can see the merits of new ones, and i'm not ruling them out. The way i figured it was that if my gears were good I would have kept using them anyways, if I manage to get a good used set, i can use the money i'm saving toward something else.
It seems every time i remove something, something else behind it needs attention (i.e. pretty much have taken everything apart for tb/wp service and oil filler neck is leaking which i hadn't noticed before so now i'm redoing that and the waterbridge).
In the next service or 2 (maybe optimistic?) I could buy new ones then, since good used ones are bound to run out.
I'm also switching to the pktensioner and i'm curious as to the wear differences from the stock system. I've included a pic of my gears after 94K with the stock system. I've got every service record back to 1k service so these should be original.
