Default BATTERY DISCHARGE, NON START.

I was on the forum some time ago and was told to put in a new green wire for a non start problem, which I bought and have not yet installed. I now put in a battery, left it in for a month, and found it completetly dead when I tried to start to diagnose my problem. I have had the car in a garage since 97 and have only left it outside under a carport and covered for the last three years. any ideas? could it be the digital clock in my radio?

no tellin what you have thats hot with the battery connected,
but here is how to narrow things down.
First charge the battery if its older than 5 years then it might be a good idea to get a fresh battery. clean the battery terminals and the ground connection in the hatch, roll down the window on the door that has the red lamp on when the door is open on the aft edge of the door.

close the door then with the battery connected let thew car sit for about 20 mins then go see if the red light has gone out by looking inside the window slot,
make sure you already have the CE panel cover removed ,

Take your IR gun go shoot the relays on the panel any relay thats hotter than the rest is being charged and should be investigated
