Default Re. Fire Extinguishers

It's up to you to find the FE that suites your needs. There are many out there to choose from, however...

Safecraft model PC2 is a great choice

Safecraft model PB2 (shown below) is an awesome choice, but it's a special size and premium priced.

If you plan to use it, let me know in advance so I can supply you with the correct parts specific to that FE.

Note: photo shown below does not come with the quick-release mount (Contact Steve Baker at Safecraft for individual PB2 pricing)

Contact Steve Baker at Safecraft for questions or ordering. Let him know you are involved with this group buy.

Thanks!

Cool, thanks Otto!

Just let me know when you send payment, or if you would like a request for payment.

Doesn't the PB2 come with a mount? If i were planning for that FE would i just need a bracket?

Great question! The only image and price I could find on the PB2 shows the bracket (and is priced as such on Safecraft's website LINK)

I talked to Steve at Safecraft and he recommended calling him for a pricing on a standalone PB2 FE.

Thanks!

Just to clarify (I guess i'm still confused) the mount you show in your picture looks just like the one that comes with the PB2. Are you saying there's a difference between the mount the PB2 comes with and the one you're offering and if I want a PB2 I should get the kit and call about getting the FE without the included mount?

Also I posted this in the previous 'interest' thread but didn't see a response. What is the install procedure for the bracket? Does the seat have to come out?

Another great question! The mount rings for the PB2 are smaller and more specific to it.

I'm selling a kit with the seat bracket and QR mount. All I need to know is if you plan to use the PB2 or otherwise.

Safecraft does not typically sell the PB2 w/o the mount (hence the reason for no pricing for it on their website). This is a special case due to the group buy.

Talk to Steve, he'll get you all set.

Regarding your other question, I just don't know the answer to that. We will soon find out, I'm sure. I consider it six of one, half-dozen of the other due to how easy it is to remove a seat.

do you have any pictures of renditions of how the bracket mounts to the seat? I would want this to be as low as possible.

Will it be about like this?

I have an Amerex Halon 2.5 lb that appears to be about 3 inches in diameter.

Looks just like this one:

Do you think it will fit?

Hi Kurt!
It's as low as you can go, yet still allows for seat travel and carpet (and mat) clearance.
It's not a close to seat as Jim M's, but his doesn't have the quick-release mount. It's as close as it can be considering.

I designed it keeping my wife as a passenger in mind, with large handbag and full entourage.

If your FE is near 3", it will work fine. Many 2.5# FE's are near that diameter I suspect. Worth checking (or measuring) before buying it.

Hope you enjoyed the Parade!

Jim,
I am too lazy to search - what is the approx. price of the FE please?
OK see it at $158.
Way to go 928Classics.
Put me down for a complete kit sans FE.

You should make a clear not as to what year seats and options these will fit. As i thought in the OG thread, these were later stated to not fit on OB power seats...

The spec-sheet reads mid-80's thru mid-90's.

There are alot of Porsche Recarco seats out there used on many Porsches.

WRT to the 928, I believe were are talking from '85 to 95 US and Row.

I appreciate the advice!

Jim. Put me down for a complete kit, thanks for getting this pulled together.

Is the sales@928classics used for PayPal?

Bob
