Default Used motor to play with.... have a few questions.

Picked up the M28/44 from a fellow shark here in ohio to play with. Was a timing belt fail motor. most exhaust valve are trash, has a few of the valve cover stand offs broke in the head, but nothing major.

does this look like a deal breaker?

here is a pic of what the cylinders look like. pistons are ok.

what do i need to do to "update" this S3 heads. i hear i need the S4 tensioners... but any other tricks to a head rebuild?

Should be fine for a table, what are your plans for it?

I don't think the water pump impeller has a very tight tolerance, but maybe somebody knows a spec to check. Greg has a tool and fix, or do you need perfect for a special reason?

Going to take my time and build this sucker for boost. i can completely take her apart, send the block to Kuhn for a little bore and plate treatment... or leave the bottom end alone and just roll with it.

cleaning her up right now. if i cant use this one, im sure i can find others. i can always sell the cams and make my cash back.
