Ha ha ha T, keep track of that ticket. It's the only record left because of the snafu of Texas reporting incorrectly to Oklahoma I hadn'y paid it. The only way they could keep from me wrongfully losing my license for failure to pay, was to enter in the system that the entire ticket was a clerical error.

Yhanks for all the well wishes. After being cooped up in the house for 11 months I plan to travel way more than just around OKC!
Dallas Breakfast, Third Coast, and F1 Austin are top of my list.

Everyone told me I should have gone to the doctor right after stepping on the nail, but the docs said nothing they would have done or given me would have even slowed it down. Any time I go to the hospital now, I am to be treated like I have an infectious disease just in case it comes back.

WOW..glad your OK!
going OT I guess...and I am by no means a doctor but what does a tetanus shot provide us with?
Always hear people relating a tetanus shot with rusty nails etc etc?
Always amazes me how a ton of bricks can fall on a person and kill them...as well as something you need a microscope to see.

Richard - glad to hear you're nearing the end of your recovery! It's scary how often we hear these days of infections such as yours, from something that would seem relatively harmless. You wouldn't think someone could nearly die from stepping on a nail. I look forward to seeing you again at upcoming events. Take care!

Tetanus shot is for lock jaw and mostly for old rusty nails. This was a brand spanking new roofing nail. My roof had been re-roofed a month earlier.
Would have loved to have some company if just for some different scenery around the house, LOL.

Don't think I can make the July Breakfast this coming weekend. Walked in and out of Hoe Depot this morning and now 12 hours later the foot is still letting me know about it. Will have to see. August is definitely on my calendar as a go.

Incredible story RDK! Thanks for posting, glad to hear you (and most of your foot) survived to drive another day!
Enjoy every moment, just goes to show we never know what lies around the corner.
Cheers,
William
