Shawn, i'm washing and re-using the blue Perlon carpeting. I will use it in place of the rear quarter trim etc., so i will need some more. For instance the elbow rest/compartment will not go back in and the carpet there has 4 square cut outs or screws and will need replacement to go forward and under the trimmed center consul.

Pete Stout (Panorama) has advised i use perlon and also use the black thin ribbed floor mats that Porsche RSRs used.
It can be found at certain hardware stores and Pete told me that Norbert Singer said "that is where we got ours"!
Pete has also advised against embroidering RS in the rear seat areas as Porsche did not do that until the mid 1980s.

I will not post all the details though as I'd like there to be something left for Panorama and Flussig.

Thanks, The Porsche decal guy I used is in the UK,
it looks great in person.

Porsche had plaques in the IROC 911s that read the same (for the
NASCAR guys) as they were not used to having to actually use the clutch
when shifting!

Anyway, the decal lettering is raised and very high quality.
PM me for his contact info if you wish. Going driving now.
Best regards, -Matt

Two words for the intake parts "bead blasting", you won't regret it, they'll look like new, and the parts being mostly aluminum you can leave the bead blasted finish and just clear coat them to protect them from going dull again.

The euro parts?

Anyway, I'm not driving anywhere, instrument says no chargey and is correct. Alternator is not charging, making nothing which explains the drained batt all these weeks driving occasionally w/o instruments.

I will have it rebuilt Monday for $75 by I C Starters and Alternators in Philly.

Plenty of meat on the bone for both. RL is a small part of a much larger group of 928'rs and Porsche people.

Matt-

If you're planning on continuing to not have a stereo in the console, you need a

928 552 270 05 70B. Less than $10 from Roger.

Rob, The consul is cut just above where the blank plate would have been, similar to a 924 Carrera GTS.
I already bought one from Roger though and don't need it anymore.

I had seats like that in the '83. generic racing seats, very poor quality and wore fast. They had to be bolted to the floor because when installed on the factory rails, they were too high up.

Real 935 lollipop seats were made by Porsche for racing. Good quality 'knock offs' are about $4000 a set. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...55819444,d.cWc

These above are very well made and don't wear fast. I'd love to have a set.

Matt, last week I sent you a PM about some 930 seats that I could donate to the cause. They are lightweight, black and have small rips but could be recovered.
