Default No Start or Sound when Key Turns

I have a 1989 Porsche 928. When I put the key in the ignition and turn it right the car does not start. I do not hear it trying to turn over. Any suggestions?
How do I check the connection at the ignition switch?
Does anyone have any troubleshooting pictures?

Unplug 14 pin connector under the hood, and plug it back in.

Common place for the starter solenoid circuit to fail.

My 14in assy is ALL brand new, 3yrs ago, and was still the culprit when this happened to me a month ago, and it was pretty clean looking still.

Above the battery jump post, under the hood, left side at the fender rail looking at the engine.

But..beware, since you dont know what it is..you dont know its condition either.

You could end up with 28 wires and chunks of plastic in your hand when you are done..it COULD be heat aged, and water damaged at the drip rail there for the last # of decades.

be..careful.

I unplugged it and plugged it back in and nothing happen. I think I hear on clicking sound when I turn the key in the ignition (from relay area).

sounds like bad battery or that fiesty ground connection from neg terminal to the body
or the starter itself (my first chore when buying the car)

Battery suboptimal if just hear clicking and nothing else occurs. Check its voltage. Then I would consider the rear ground strap. After these are cleared would I then look elsewhere.

Anyways I dropped my vehicle off, or towed it to NJ to get the transmission rebuilt and have super bearings installed. I think I am doing this process backwards. I should have got someone to work on the leaking oil problem / no start issue before bringing it to this guy. Hey did anyone see my car get towed today?
