Please join your fellow Houston area (extending all the way to College Station) 928 owners this Saturday Morning from 9 to about 10:30 behind the Starbucks on 290 between Skinner and Spring Cypress. (in front of Best Buy). We will hang with the PCA crowd for a while, then head over to the Shack a few miles away for a gourmet burger around 11. PM me if you need further directions, my cell# or want to join the Houston 928 Google Email Group.

Yes, two that I know of... Shawn in the Woodlands has a recently mounted rear turbo. I think it's still at the shop being Sharktuned. Shawn will be there for the PCA morning event only. Also Bud in Katy has a supercharged S4, but haven't heard from him about Saturday. I'll shoot him an email and see if he's going to make it.

Just talked to Bud, he will be there in his boosted 88. It's been painted and had extensive leather work done since I saw it last.

He said he couldn't bring it because he was having trouble bleeding the brakes... I reminded him there are two bleed valves on each caliper, at least on the front, and he said that was it, didn't see the back bleeders.

I stopped by The Shack today and arranged a special parking area in the back for our cars. We’ll have a table under a tent with our own Porta-Cool fan. It felt pretty nice under the tent today so don’t let the heat keep you away. This place is BYOB, so bring your favorite beverages if you want. I’ll be bringing some Shiner iced down.

We’ll plan to arrive at The Shack about 10:30. If you come separate from the group, drive around the left side of the building. Look for the old bath tub at the street(Cypress-Rosehill) that marks the entrance.

Hi Don, my car is still in the shop, once they finish up, I am going to attempt the tb/wp service as well as replacing fuel lines-pwr steering lines. Once that is done I will finally be able to drive my car that I purchased on 02/12/2012. So far I have only driven it twice. Once on the test drive when I purchased it and 3 weeks ago when I drove it the 50 miles from Clear Lake to Kingwood.
I will post the history once finished and start attending 928 functions. Can't wait!!

Nice gathering! Five 928s present. Great meeting you guys. Definitely gotta add one of these to the stable.

Don, your car sounds mean as hell with the exhaust modifications. Proper Snarl.

marine928,

Sounds like you have had a hard time getting your car sorted. Feel free to PM me if you want to talk about any issues you have. If it has a PKtensioner, that means it's had a belt done in the last few years, are you sure it needs a new one? Happy to look it over on the lift if you want. Steve and Linda from Humble just left my place and they have a mechanic they are very happy with up that way if you are looking.

Flint, good to meet you. Stop by next month stop by and we'll go for a ride.

We had 5 sharks at the PCA gathering, plus two 928 owners that didn't have their cars with them, and 6 sharks at lunch. Here's some pics...(sorry Paul, you arrived after the pics were taken)

My shark was up at Denton being worked on by Sean - I'm the odd one with a rear engined Porsche in the pictures at the restaurant!

Aww... Too bad I missed this! I'm a certified 928 enthusiast and I am contemplating on getting one. I just moved here and I instantly fell in love with the city. I am living in a very nice neighborhood in Houston Heights. Driving my very own 928 will definitely complete my wishlist.
