Default Perfex short shifter

Any one used this?

Short Shifters- Real Steel !

5 speed performance short throw shifter for Porsche 928. Shifter length of handle has been shortened and the shift rod mount geometry increased to minimize the distance between gears when shifting. The feel is positive and firm unlike aluminum shifters offered in the aftermarket. Laser cut and precision TIG welded steel assembly to assure accuracy and consistency in manufacture. They are designed to be used with factory shift rod bushings.

Please specify model year when ordering.

Steel Short Shifter for 928 is $50.00 including shipping via UPS within the continental US.

That is Ed's company so the product will be good and that price is hard to beat.
We have the Lizard for $200 and the standard short shifter for $75 - so compare.

This one and Carl's are the same.

My shifter is a completely different design.

IIRC Carl gets his from 928 International (I could be wrong).
My standard short shifter is made by Dave & Garrity at MotorSports SLC.

Colin's "Lizard" shifter is far superior to the standard SS in that it does away with the front linkage and really is the only short shifter that works. Search Lizard short shifter on Rennlist or UTube

What about Jadz's? Is that still in development?

Still wishing for a better auto option.
The machine work for a depress-and-shift like the old Champagne/Oz shifter is readily available on ebay, just need a more fitting handle.

On the back-burner. Needs another round of development.

Thanks for the input, I know Colin's is the bomb...just looking at them all right now....I drove Kevin's 79 (before it laid down on him...) Sunday at SITM, and loved his...he said it was the one from Carl, I think....does anyone know how the throw compares to the others?
