Default Tomorrow is the big day...getting my first 928!

Almost two weeks ago, I bought an '87 S4, and the very next day I left for vacation in California. Needless to say, I have been counting down the days until I actually take possession of my "new" car...can't wait to get started on it. Going to do the timing belt, water pump and fuel lines right away, get it running right, and then work on finding a fender, hood and front bumper.

I'll post some pics as soon as I get it off the trailer...

Hope I can sleep tonight...

Gonna jump right into a timing belt eh? I recently got my first 928 as well and the valve cover gaskets are first on my list. I've worked on lots and lots of cars and I'm finding the 928 engine bay, well, challenging I'm really glad the belt was recently done by the PO! In contrast I can do a timing belt in about 3 hours on one of my FWD Shelby Dodges. It's a journey for sure, good luck and welcome

Yep, radiator is missing and fans/shroud already out...I know the timing belt has not been done since 2002...water pump unknown. I'm a Saab tech so I'm no stranger to "challenging" engine bays . On most of my Saabs, the engine is in backwards!

Well...I got the car today, and I have pictures...but I can't figure out how to post them from an iPad.

I will have to do it from work tomorrow...
