Roger,

http://www.musantemotorsports.com/

Musante Motor Sports, Dave Lloyd used to work there before he retired. I believe they know 928s there. I have never gone there, based on Dave Lloyd's recommendations.

They are in South Windsor , Ct right outside Hartford.

Musante Motorsports is a good option, I was there for a PCA meeting last week, really nice place! Also Automobile Associates of Canton CT.

EDIT: I met a technician at Hoffman Porsche (East Hartford CT) who specializes in the classic cars, IIRC he has some 928 experience... maybe call them and ask?

Yeah Musante, nice location. I visited many times when David still worked there to shoot the **** and Steve C gave a transmission seminar there once.

You know, those look like good shops. But honestly, before I took my 928 to a shop that is a Porsche shop I would like to see at least 1 928 picture somewhere on the website.

Otherwise, I would be scared that they either have no experience or at least probably don't care about that particular model and wouldn't give it a dedicated repair...

In the CT area, you should check with David Chamberland - worf928 on Rennlist. He is in MA, but not far away, and does a LOT of 928 maintenance work in the New England area. Has several 928's of his own and a nearly new LARGE working garage for maintenance. Contact him via PM or e-mail here on Rennlist.

I visited Musante when David Lloyd worked there, but got the impression that David L. was the only person involved with 928's, and he left about 3+ years ago.

I've been away from New England for 15 years but Michael Bochow works in a foreign "exotic" car shop in Avon which is just west of Hartford. I've known him since he was a kid and I'm sure you would find him to be very reliable and knowledgeable.
