When I came off the exit ramp and just barely scooted through a yellow light and kicked the tail out into a 90 degree turn the other day, but kept off the PSD,I realized, once again, that it is far more than a GT.

I would argue my 2013 Volvo S60 FWD could drive comfortably at speed with point on handling across this country and the late model GTs he mention have no interest to me except that I might enjoy a drop top.

But take the same roads with the 928 and it would be fun and comfortable. The other current GTs he mentions are too vanilla with too little driver input. All those safety features dumb down the drive and have no heart.

The 928 PSD and ABS are exactly what I want for safety-no more-no less. If I only had an 90-95 5 speed, I'd be ecstatic. I'd be happy with an 89 GT and "settle" for LSD but I really love PSD. I don't even want airbags.

Indeed, a chopped Panamera would not be a 928 replacement; it would be a 2 door Panamera. A true spiritual successor would have to be designed from the ground up, and would be over $200k I imagine.

I hope you understand that this neither can nor will ever happen.

En
joyed the article. Someone should tell the author it is even better with a five speed!
Now that would spoil it for him totally
